Awesome Tool for EBay Sellers

EasyAuctionsTracker.com - Ultimate eBay Spreadsheet

Easy Auctions Tracker is fully automated and has been Tested & Certified by eBay as a compatible application! By using this spreadsheet, you will be able to quickly collect and record your transactions (sold items and unsold items!) without the need to manually enter the information.

With the simple click of a button, Easy Auctions Tracker is able to collect all the information for a entire month's worth of sales from eBay's servers for you! No need to know the item numbers of the sold items, just select the month & year then click the "Get All Items" button. It is that simple! eBay stores your transaction information on its servers for 3 months/90 days, for example you can retrieve May's transactions in August.

This spreadsheet application has been tested and certified by eBay.

Danna Crawford, PowerSellingMom and eBay Education Specialist, interviewed Josh and Jen Sinsel, the creators of EasyAuctionsTracker, on her BlogTalkRadio show recently. She described this spreadsheet as a "dream come true product" and said she sincerely loved it, going so far as to say that "this tool is a God-send."

To listen to this informative interview, go to www.blogtalkradio.com/dannacrawford, and hear Josh and Jen describe their dynamic, time-saving spreadsheet. You won't be sorry.

Our Bird Home Alert System (B.H.A.S.) Founder

Meet Carducci, our 10 year old Blue and Gold Macaw, creator and president of our Bird Home Alert System (B.H.A.S.).

Carducci is a great bird and is full of personality. He loves to play in his big window and keeps us informed when the mailman has arrived or the UPS truck has driven by. He does not like big trucks or strangers LOL. I enjoy watching the reaction of people out for a relaxing afternoon walk when they walk by our house because they jump about 5 ft when Carducci screams at them. Our door bell is broken right now but that's OK. With 2 little yippie dogs and Carducci, nobody will ever sneak up on us.

Parrots Who Wake up on the Wrong Side of the Perch

Parrots need 10 to 12 hours of good sleep in order to be a happy bird the next day. Have you ever spent a day with a parrot who woke up on the wrong side of the perch? I have. It's not pretty. Maybe he had a bad dream and couldn't get back to sleep, or that little white dog at the foot of your bed started barking at 2 am and woke up your parrot. Whatever the reason, your parrot didn't get enough sleep. That's bad. For you. But how do you fix it? You can't. You just have to roll with it, and get some of those spongy ear plugs. LOL and hope tonight he can nod off to parrot dreamland with no interruption. Nitey nite bird.

How to Survive a Kitchen Renovation

They say the kitchen is the heart of the home, and how true it is. But what do you do when your heart has been stripped down the the studs? I'll tell you what I'm doing during our kitchen renovation.

Since our stove is unplugged and in the corner of the Living Room, the fridge has been relocated to the Dining Room, the contents of my cabinets and pantry are in boxes and my sink is gone, cooking is a challenge. I don't even know where my husband put the dishwasher. He's hungry. I'm hungry. There is no time on the schedule for a divorce. What's a busy wife to do?

Besides the obvious outdoor cooking on the grill,
set yourself up to cook in the bathroom, if it's large enough, or in the dining room. I learned this from Marla Cilley, the FlyLady, at www.flylady.net. Put up a sturdy table (it doesn't have to be a huge table) and put on it your crock pot, George Foreman grill, toaster, microwave. Use paper plates and cups, or if you want to be more planet-friendly, skip the paper and put a dish tub in the bathtub. Wash those dishes after each meal and stay on top of them. I also learned that from the FlyLady. There's nothing worse than a bath tub full of dirty dishes. Ask me how I know. LOL

Get out your Crock Pot cookbook and if you don't have one, go to www.savingdinner.com and get some free crock pot recipes from Leann Ely, the Dinner Diva. She can help you get dinner on the table no matter where you cooked it. Plan your meals ahead of time .

You may have to dust and sweep more often to stay on top of the drywall dust. I have an ostrich feather duster that I got from the Flylady and it picks up even the finest of drywall dust!

Another important thing to do is finish each day around 5ish and clean up the mess. Most important of all, no matter how much chaos is going on in your house, keep your bedroom your sanctuary so you will always have a calm, peaceful room to go to at the end of the day. FlyLady taught me that.

You may not be able to look at another sandwich for a while, but when your new kitchen is done, it will all be worth it.
Hug your husband often and rub his back every night. He needs it after all of that sawing and painting and tile laying and grouting. In return, I bet he kisses the cook!

Turtles: How Many Are Too Many?

It's Spring time-my favorite season. The Daffodils in my back yard are popping, the Iris are blooming, the air is fragrant with Lilacs, and my 41 turtles are waking up. That's right. I have 41 turtles. If I had 41 Guppies, nobody would blink. But I don't have 41 Guppies. I have 41 turtles. So my question today is, "How Many Are Too Many?" :-) Might I be flirting with excessive TurtleDom?

It all started with one sweet female who was found crossing a busy street in the rain (they love to walk around in the rain), then a few days later a second turtle...a male... was given to me by a friend who was moving. That's all it took! Turtles mate like there is no tomorrow and the males are almost insatiable. If there are females and food available, there will be mating. My only strategy to keep the population down is to separate the love birds when I catch them a courtin'. I'd like to separate the boys from the girls permanently, but our yard just isn't large enough for that.

Friends have suggested I give some away. WHAT??? Give some away??? But they're my turtles, I grew most of them from scratch, and each one has a different personality and a funny quirk that I love. Tator Tot meanders up the ramp and comes into the kitchen every morning for some scrambled eggs, Gypsy loves to explore, and Fortune would sit in my lap all day. I could go on and on. The real problem here is...I should have never named them!

Things We Can Learn From Our Dogs

In the book, "50 Simple Way to Pamper Your Dog" by Arden Moore, it lists some simple things dog naturally do that we can learn from. Some of these are:

1. Run, romp and play daily.
2. If you want what lies buried, dig until you find it.
3. When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
4. Nap
5. When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.
6. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Dogs are so smart if we humans would just shut up and listen. And I'd like to add one more from personal experience.

7. When someone you love is sad, sit quietly beside them and help them cry.

Tupperware and Corning Ware

No wonder these items are good sellers...they're high quality and last forever! The Tupperware hamburger press stacks neatly in the freezer and keeps your meat safely frozen. The Corning Ware 6 cup tea kettle with the Spice of Life pattern is so pretty and keeps water or tea hot.

What's supposed to be cold stays cold and the hot stays hot. Coooool!

Face Book is so cool!

I just joined Face Book today to network with my new EBay friends. I joined the EBay Selling Tips Group and read some great tips from Beth Cherkowsky of Depression Glass Warehouse, Danna Crawford, PowerSellingMom.com, Leah with Seasoned with Time just to name a few. Those ladies and that group really know their business! Maybe someday I can be just as helpful to someone else as they have been to me....the wheel theory...what goes around, comes around.

A great photo tip from GALLERIAGIFTS

Melinda from Galleria Gifts recommended www.picnik.com to edit photos, add text, borders, special effects, storage, make albums and she was SO RIGHT! I checked it out and it's so easy to use and makes your photos looks professional. It's a great tool. Thanks Melinda!

Galleria Gifts

I was listening to Danna Crawford on EBay Radio, PowerSellingMom.com, and she was interviewing another amazing EBay Seller named Melinda (last name has left me). She sells Muffy Vanderbear (and other items) and has GalleriaGifts. Melinda shared many listing and selling tips with Danna, as well as what has helped her become a successful, respected EBay seller. THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO DO!!...be a respected, successful EBay seller.

Thanks to Danna and Melinda for those great tips. Now if I could just figure out how to create a link, I'd be doing the happy dance.

CARE BEARS ROCK

I enjoy having these Care Bears sitting beside me on the shelf while they wait for their new home. They have a joyful spirit, and Share Bear even talks! I swear the pink one winked at me. :-)

New Auctions finally up

There are four auctions up right now and many more on the verge. After doing the research as my coaches (Danna Crawford and Suzanne Wells) directed :-) I have several stuffed animals, vintage china and toys coming up.

I wish I had a computer nerd in my house to help me through technical issues.

EBay Selling Coaches

In addition to Danna Crawford, PowerSellingMom.com, I just discovered another EBay Power Seller who also does informative podcasts all about selling on EBay. Her name is Suzanne Wells, EBay SellingCoach.blogspot.com. Right now I'm listening to her podcast about blogging!

Thanks Danna and Suzanne. I appreciate you.

Peyote Fan Set

I'm gonna sell the fan set! Yay! I have one bid and that's all I need.

Now I'll get busy and put up more feather auctions.

Vintage feathers? LOL

Trouble with Photo Bucket

I'd like to use Photo Bucket to store my photos that I put in the auctions but when I cut and paste the HTML code it will not go into the listing. I'm sure there is one tiny thing I'm doing wrong so I've asked my new bff's on an EBay selling group, EBaySellingTips, if they can help me. I bet they can!

I have a very happy customer

The lady who purchased the Homer Laughlin creamer wrote to say that she was surprised when it arrived in time for Christmas (mailed on 12-21 to Minnesota) She was able to set her Christmas dinner table with a complete set and that made her very happy, which made me very happy.

Yay again!

Now if I could sell that pretty trinket box I'd do a happy dance.

I sold another something!

I sold the Napco Little Devil Children salt and pepper shakers! Yay! Sure hope I don't drop and break them before I get them in the box. :-)

I think the auction bump sites are very helpful and I'm grateful to have them.

Homer Lauglin creamer sold!

It was up for less than 24 hours and I'm very excited.

Research

I listen to a lot of EBay radio and hear the commercials for Terapeak and Hammertap. They sound good, but which one. What does anybody reading this think of them?

Chair Time

My husband says I spend too much time in front of the computer. I tell him that I have to learn how to do this and that takes time. So to keep him happier and my butt from going numb I'm setting my timer for 15 minutes and when it goes off, I have to get up and do something else for a while. Like find a new cushion for this chair. LOL

What do I Sell?

My user name on EBay is DianesVintageCharms. There is so much to learn and it seems a little overwhelming right now. I'll be selling parrot feathers (are those vintage? LOL) some china and who knows what else.

Diane's New Big Adventure!

When I get an idea to do something I go for it! I have been tossing around the idea of learning how to be a Seller on EBay. Lord knows I've bought enough LOL. So I am researching it and trying to learn as much as I can. Turns out that EBay wants me to succeed because they have all sorts of Groups and Forums to help a new comer. Plus they have smart, creative people such as Danna Crawford who teaches classes on EBay and has written several EBooks on everything related to being a successful seller on EBay. Yes, it's true. EBay wants me to succeed. YES!

The point of this blog is to record my adventures into the EBay Selling World, such as what I learned, who I talked to, any new Twitter friends I made, what I listed, what sold, what didn't sell, how can I improve, am I still happy doing it, and all that good stuff. Wish me luck because I need to support my habit....pets! They like to eat regularly.
